National Student Council
Purpose
The objective of the National Student Council is to develop a community feel among student affiliated groups (often referred to as student chapters), facilitate growth through idea sharing, encourage established student affiliated groups through guidance, and support new or struggling student affiliated group. The council seeks to consist of at least one member from each student affiliated group or interested university. Universities will determine independently how to appoint or elect their council member at the start of each academic year. The National Student Council provides an exciting opportunity to collectively work towards advancing student affiliated groups in a God glorifying manner.
The council serves to:
- Facilitate communication among the student affiliated groups.
- Host student sessions at the CPFI Annual Meeting.
- Coordinate a national student outreach event, such as Operation Christmas Child.
- Act as a personal resource for pharmacy students with concerns or problems.
- Provide guidance through the creation and posting of documents on the CPFI website.
Regions
The rapid growth of student affiliated groups has provided the opportunity for more regional interactions between CPFI student members. To help facilitate this we have created the possibility for student members to serve as student regional directors. Student regional directors are responsible for initiating email or phone communication between the student groups in their area. This correspondence is intended to share ideas, support one another, and to determine if there is interest in having the students within a region come together for a dinner, outreach event, or mini-retreat. The student regional directors will be working with the assistance of Cimeon Koebel, a fourth year pharmacy student from Mercer University, who is serving to oversee the development of student regional interaction. For any questions or those interested in serving in this role please email Cimeon at
